There may be a white border depending on the original image’s aspect ratio:
– A4 and A3 prints are trimmed to fit standard frames and usually have a white border on two or all sides. You can trim these yourself if you want.
– Prints larger than A3 are trimmed exactly to the image size.
– For very large prints over 1.5m, we leave a white border for you or a framer to trim.
We are not VAT-registered and do not issue invoices with separate VAT charges.
This depends on the original’s size and text clarity. Reducing large originals can make text unreadable, while enlarging small originals may lose detail quality—especially with woodblock prints. Each print matches the original’s aspect ratio and is printed exactly as shown.
A4 and smaller prints come in a clear sleeve inside a sturdy cardboard-backed envelope (unless shipped with a larger poster). Prints larger than A4 are rolled in protective wrap and acid-free tissue, then shipped in a heavy-duty postal tube. We never fold posters.
All prints and posters are individually printed, inspected, packaged, and shipped from our studio in Hampshire, England.
We print on two types of art paper and one canvas, all high quality and affordable: Standard Matt Coated paper 140gsm, Heavyweight Matt Coated paper 230gsm (like thin card), and Epson Matt Canvas 320gsm. We use UltraChromeHDX pigment inks for long-lasting colours—up to 60 years of permanence and 200 years fade resistance.
All posters are high-quality giclée reproductions of digitally restored antique originals. Each print is custom-made and trimmed individually using UltraChromeHDX pigment inks, ensuring 60 years of colour permanence and up to 200 years fade resistance. Every giclée print meets the same premium standard.
